Mission Statement
Our Pal's Place, Inc. is an animal advocate organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from death in county shelters and adopting them into forever homes. Equally as important is providing education programs to teach solutions to end animal welfare problems.
About This Cause
Our Pal's Place, Inc. is an animal advocate organization with a Pet Adoption Facility and Learning Center. Our Pal’s Place is a volunteer based organization with no paid staff meaning ALL donations go directly to the housing and care-giving of our orphan pet residents. The Pet Adoption Facility of Our Pal’s Place provides safe housing for orphan pets rescued from county shelters and promotes the benefits of adopting vs buying a pet companion. The dog and cat residents of our Pet Adoption Facility come from county shelters. When entering the shelter, we first focus on the dogs and cats who are on “death row” or deemed “urgent” for rescue. If we can help, we transfer the orphan pet from the shelter into our Pet Adoption Facility where they are housed, have fenced yards for playtime, receive TLC from our volunteers and are taught basic “good manner” training. All residents receive full veterinarian care including spay/neuter. Companion Match is Our Pal’s Place process of helping people find a pet companion that is a good match for their lifestyle and home. If we do not have a good match in our Pet Adoption Facility, our team will search county shelters, contact other rescues and reference our re-home list to help find a good match. The Learning Center of Our Pal’s Place offers fun, innovative programs for youth and adults that teach solutions to end current animal welfare problems. We offer a youth summer camp – “Camp O.P.P.” - in June and July, conduct scout programs throughout the year, offer learning programs in schools, and host organizations on-site in our Learning Center and Pet Adoption Facility.
