NTM Info & Research mission is to save and improve lives by promoting patient support, research, education, early detection, and improved treatment programs for those with pulmonary NTM disease.
About This Cause
NTM Info & Research (NTMir) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed on behalf of patients with pulmonary nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disease for patient support, medical education, and research. An estimated 189,000 people in the United States have pulmonary NTM disease, and cases continue to increase at a rate of 8.2% each year. NTMir has become a global leader in education and research in NTM lung disease. We develop educational programing for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Patients are empowered through connection, education, and action with in-person and online support groups to enable them to share their experiences, challenges, and feelings.
