Mission Statement
Families Together of Orange County is dedicated to assist in overcoming obstacles and to serve as the bridge between the people within our community and the services that they need as pertaining to health, wellness, and practical services, and while so doing empower individuals to develop further personal and familial success, as well as participate in giving a hand up to their neighbors.
About This Cause
We provide a multitude of free services to our patients because we believe health is more than doctors and medicine. We acknowledge that there are other social determinants that influence a patient's ability to get healthy. We seek donations for these wrap around services that include: free transportation; for all patients to their appointments and back home, food pantry; to address food scarcity, cooking kitchen: which helps patient learn important nutritional facts on how to eat healthier, activity classes: yoga, Zumba, weight lifting and others to get patients exercising, and other free services. We look for opportunities to provide our patients with the things they wouldn't think to receive from their traditional doctor's office. As a federally qualified health center located in central Orange County, the need for these services is so large and we can not address it alone. With your help we look to expand the described services and add more that include: a wellness garden; to provide our patients with fresh fruits and vegetables, and a meditation park; to provide patients an opportunity to practice mindfulbase stress reduction techniques and appreciate their life just a little bit more.
