Mission Statement
The Construction Industry Educational Foundation, in partnership with SRBX, contributes significantly to the health of the construction and design industry by supporting educational endeavors, mentoring initiatives and training activities throughout California.
About This Cause
CIEF fulfills it's mission through five primary programs: 1) The CREATE Mentoring Program - High school students are given an RFP to design a mock project and are mentored through the process by industry professionals; 2) The Design Build Program - High school students design a 96-square foot structure (shed, tiny home, playhouse, etc.) during the fall semester and build the structure during a two-day competition in the spring; 3) The NEXT Young Professionals Group - The next generation of employees come together to bridge the gap between early/mid-level career to senior management through education, philanthropic and networking events; 4) Education Classes - Aimed to equip industry professionals with the tools to operate a successful, safe and law-compliant organization or business; 5) Scholarships - Ensuring that a successful career is in reach to all youth through either academic education or a trades certification program.
