Mission Statement
At the Cat's Meow, we help cats and the people who love them. Our programs include our unique cage-free adoption center where we shelter homeless cats until they find loving homes, free spay/neuter services for cat owners, a free cat food bank and an indoor/outdoor sanctuary for feral cats.
About This Cause
The Cat's Meow is a unique cat adoption center, located in Anacortes, Washington. We shelter homeless cats and provide food, shelter, loving care and medical attention until each cat finds a loving home. At the Cat's Meow, cats live in spacious, light filled living rooms rather than cages. This helps the cats to be happy and relaxed and also helps us get to know them so we can find the best home for their individual personality. On any given day, we are caring for up to 40 adult cats at the adoption center and up to 20 kittens in local foster homes. In 2014, we opened Kitty Harbor, a sanctuary for feral cats. At Kitty Harbor, our feral residents can take shelter in two heated cottages with windows and lofts as well as free access to a large courtyard garden where they like to lay in the sun.
