Mission Statement
The Autism Community Connection serves individuals with autism and their families, in and around the Johnson County area, by connecting them with community resources, social events and enriching programs to help navigate their autism journey.
About This Cause
Our mission at Autism Community is to provide a valuable resource to area families affected by autism. Our efforts include: • Hosting an extensive, yet affordable camp for teens to build skills over the summer. "My Summer Journey" is striving to meet this need; • Awarding grants for supplemental therapies such as horseback riding and family counseling; • Providing family and social events that are sensory-friendly; • Facilitating young adult groups to build social and vocational skills.
