NORTHWEST HOPE & HEALING FOUNDATION

SEATTLE, Washington, 98101 United States

Mission Statement

Northwest Hope & Healing is a non-profit organization founded by Christine Smith in 2000. Christine created the foundation while undergoing breast cancer treatment at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Her goal was to help newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in the Puget Sound area.

About This Cause

The mission of Northwest Hope & Healing is to provide financial assistance to patients in need who are battling breast and gynecological cancer at the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle WA. The NW Hope & Healing Patient Assistance Fund provides assistance for every day living expenses such as child care, groceries, reliable transportation, and emergency rent. In addition, signature “Healing Baskets” are assembled and delivered, at no charge, to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients all of the Swedish Cancer Institute campuses. NW Hope & Healing is a local charity focused entirely on helping local patients. We offer financial support, the gift of hope, and much more to fellow Pacific Northwesters. The goal is to assist patients with the healing process so they may begin to feel whole once again. Whether it’s through the gift of a Healing Box, funds for food, or emergency rent, NW Hope & Healing offers hope for the future and the practical help needed for the present, so our mothers, our sisters, our friends, our colleagues, and our neighbors can heal. That’s the mission of Northwest Hope & Healing. And we’d like you to be a part of it!
