About This Cause
The MassEquality Education Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. MassEquality envisions a world without discrimination and oppression where all people are equal, safe and free. We are the leading statewide grassroots advocacy organization working to ensure that everyone across Massachusetts can thrive from cradle to grave without discrimination and oppression based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Activities performed by the MassEquality Education Fund include: - Opinion polling and research - Educational advertising - Media relations - Education and outreach to specific communities - Work with leaders around the country to build a stronger movement for LGBTQ equality We educate diverse audiences and change hearts and minds both within the LGBTQ community and in the larger community to build a broad and inclusive movement in a post-marriage equality state. Our work advances public education efforts that: 1) encourage conversations within the LGBTQ community about what constitutes an LGBTQ issue and galvanize the community around cross-issue, cross-identity and cross-community campaigns; and 2) engage the general public and non-LGBTQ audiences to increase understanding of and support for all LGBTQ people.
