About This Cause
Hagar is an international non-profit organization that has been changing lives in the Asia Pacific region for 30 years. Founded in 1994 in Cambodia in the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge genocide, Hagar has and continues to be a haven of healing and hope for individuals whose lives have been torn apart by human trafficking, abuse and exploitation. We believe ending human trafficking starts with restoration. Our work focuses on three areas of impact: Survivor Care, Prevention, and Systems Strengthening. Through trauma-informed individualized care, comprehensive services, and survivor leadership opportunities, Hagar not only restores lives but also drives sustainable change at every level, ensuring survivors, their families, and their communities can thrive.
