Mission Statement
To provide school fees, medical care, and nutritional assistance for children in Uganda affected by HIV/AIDS .
About This Cause
The Makula Fund for Children was established in 2005 to address the needs of children in Uganda who had been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The organization provides a nutritious breakfast for children in Gabba before they begin their day at local elementary schools. School fees are paid for these children and medical care is provided by a local clinic as the need arises. Some children attend school locally and some are boarders at other schools. Now as the children have aged fees are paid for university and technical schools as wells as the elementary and high schools. The organization is run on an all-volunteer basis in the US and the Fund pays a stipend to those carrying out the mission in Uganda.
