Mission Statement

: " To teach science, art and history through pinball, and to preserve and promote this important part of American culture. " The Pacific Pinball Museum is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of one of America's great pastimes. We offer a selection of 100 playable pinball machines representing the evolution of flipper pinball. On display are early machines from the '30s and '40s representing the birth of pinball in America, through to the end of Williams in 2000. In the front are the latest pinball machines from Stern. Rotating exhibits highlight pinball art and artists, our backglass murals and specially themed shows. We use pinball to get families and friends together in a fun, colorful, educational place.

About This Cause

PPM Mission Statement: Founded in 2004 "To inspire an interest in science, art and history through pinball and to preserve and promote this important part of American culture." We do this by: Maintaining and operating a Museum to display a large quantity of playable machines from all eras of pinball in an educational and entertaining manner. Producing the world's largest Pinball Event, the Pacific Pinball Exposition. Develop educational programs for all ages in our areas of interest: art, science and history as it relates to pinball. Provide Free Access to the Museum via local Library programs and donation of free passes to schools and other nonprofits. Expand the museum collection and maintain a space for the restoration of Pinball machines and storage of Pinball collections. We have produced or assisted in production of several major shows at the Exploratorium, The San Francisco Airport Museum, Oakland Museum, Chabot Space and Science Center, Maker Faire and the Crucible along with monthly art shows in our own gallery featuring local artists. We are a small group of dedicated individuals that are passionate about pinball and our desire to share it with the world. We are becoming the "Smithsonian of Pinball" and we know that one major item lacking is proper PR for our museum. We hope you will help us get the publicity we need. Thank you for this opportunity.
