CENTRAL PENINSULA HEALTH FOUNDATION MISSION To Support and Advance the Mission of Central Peninsula Hospital through Philanthropy. CENTRAL PENINSULA HOSPITAL MISSION We are a community-initiated and community-nurtured organization dedicated to promoting wellness and providing high quality health care that ensures the confidence and loyalty of our customers. VALUES Treat people with respect and compassion. Honor every person’s privacy and confidentiality. Provide service-above-self in a patient-centered environment. Provide care based on medical need, not ability to pay.
About This Cause
The Central Peninsula Health Foundation is a charitable nonprofit, organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; established for the purpose of developing philanthropic funds solely for the benefit of the health and wellbeing of the residents of the Central Peninsula Hospital service area. The Foundation is charged with the responsibility to seek charitable contributions for operational, capital and endowment purposes. The Foundation is the official repository for all charitable and philanthropic gifts and may acquire or receive gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies or any other entity. Gifts can be made in cash, securities, trust agreements or other real or personal property. The Foundation will receive, manage, invest, and ultimately disburse funds according to the specific designation of the donor, or if unrestricted, by the determinations of the Foundation Board of Directors. In an effort to ensure the spirit of donations is honored, the Board of Directors will use the following criteria to assess which projects are funded through donated money: • Consistency with the Mission of the Foundation • Consistency with the Mission and Strategic Plan of Central Peninsula Hospital • Will provide measurable improvement in individual or community health status • Is not a duplication of services • Program/project is financially feasible and self-sustaining • Provides measurable satisfaction of an identified community health need • Incorporates substantial positive public awareness/education opportunities for those involved
