About This Cause

2020-21 INDIA COVID19 RELIEF SUPPORT Since the pandemic started we had been distributing 10,000 free Khichdi meals every day in the Greater Mumbai area. WE also distributed hundreds of Oxygen concentrators and MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO RURAL HOSPITALS FOR FREE SERVICE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NGO'S AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ALL OVER INDIA. Our mission is to transform lives by promoting Health, Education and Vocational Training. Primary objective is to help beneficiaries become independent so that they can earn their livelihood and are no longer a burden to the family or society. All our services are provided by our Mumbai-based sister NGO Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust (RNCT). All the following services are free to any needy person – without discrimination by caste, color, creed, race, or religion. Conversely, we provide to donors in USA a transparent channel to direct their donations to a project of their choice. Since Ratna Global has no staff in USA, almost all of your donations go directly to the projects of your choice in India. Rehabilitation of orthopedically challenged - The Jaipur Foot center at Mahalaxmi-Mumbai completed two years, and is working 6 days a week to manufacture and provide artificial limbs and calipers for physically challenged people. They come in crawling and start walking on their own the same day. It is gratifying to see broad smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries and their families when they leave. We want our donors and well-wishers to visit our projects while in India to have a first hand look at how effectively and productively your contributions help beneficiaries in being self-sufficient in their mobility. Food for Education - We incentivize 4500 poor children daily to go to school by providing free meals – quality food prepared in our own kitchen. Without this they would have stayed out of school. Your $144/year will motivate one child to go to school and enhance their health as well as education. Computer Education and Conversational English classes- We teach basic computers/internet operations along with conversational English to street children, slum children, house wives, college students and Senior citizens (removed word “etc”). This will provide an edge to their self esteem and employability. New Medical Service Center for Physically Challenged – Mumbai Municipality has given RNCT a 1,350 sq. ft. building next to our Jaipur Foot Center where construction work has already began. When completed we will provide free diagnostic and consulting services to the beneficiaries. Educational Sponsorship for Terror Victims: One of our 119 recipients of the scholarship - established after the Mumbai Terror Attack, Nikhil Gupta stood first in class IX. Another beneficiary Nitin Kumar cleared SSC from UP Board with high grades. Both had lost their fathers in the Terror Attack. Nepal earthquake victims were provided immediate relief supplies consisting 3519 garments, 1110 packets of sing/chana, 900 blankets and 16 cartons of biscuits. We are now planning to do a Jaipur foot mobility camp in Nepal to help earthquake victims who lost their limbs or suffered other prosthetic injuries. Your $40 will make one amputee walk on his/her own Educational Sponsorship for Terror Victims: One of our 119 recipients of the scholarship - established after the Mumbai Terror Attack, Nikhil Gupta stood first in class IX. Another beneficiary Nitin Kumar cleared SSC from UP Board with high grades. Both had lost their fathers in the Terror Attack. Our Out-reach Activities - 30,000 Mumbai Taxis and 50,000 Auto Rickshaws display our mobility project sticker labels. This time our team includes 7 Jaipur Foot / Calipers beneficiaries who are participating in “Champions with Disability” category and 10 runners participating in full & half marathon & dream run category. We are also coordinating with several NGO’s in bringing awareness as well as publicizing our free services. We cordially invite you to visit our Food Operations and Mobility Center in Mumbai.
