Mission Statement

The Southern California Junior Bowling Association was created to promote and advance high-level scratch junior bowling in Southern California in order to develop more nationally-recognized athletes.

About This Cause

The Southern California Junior Bowling Association will have three primary activities. They are: 1) To promote and advance high-level scratch junior bowling in Southern California in order to develop more nationally-recognized athletes 2) To assist and strengthen established prominent junior bowling organizations through donations of bowling equipment and grants of college scholarship funds 3) To solicit businesses, organizations, and former junior bowlers for donations to be used to promote junior bowling and provide college scholarships The intent of the fund-raising is to provide college scholarship funds to be awarded to bowling tournament participants throughout the year. All funds provided to outside organizations must be used 100% for college scholarships. The scholarships will be kept in United States Bowling Congress SMART accounts, which are overseen by the United States Bowling Congress, and can only be withdrawn for academic purposes. The addition of larger scholarship funds as awards in high-level junior bowling tournaments will encourage additional interest in current bowlers developing their skills, and more juniors getting involved in high-level junior bowling. Southern California has developed more TeamUSA and Junior TeamUSA members than any region in the country, and we hope to continue that tradition by strengthening the programs in the Southern California region. We will also support tournaments in which Southern California bowlers participate.
