SAN DIEGO FIRE RESCUE FOUNDATION

San Diego, California, 92123 United States

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide enhanced equipment, training, technology, and program resources so the firefighters, lifeguards, and paramedics of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department are better equipped to protect the residents, property, and environment of San Diego and the surrounding region.

About This Cause

Each day, our first responders – firefighters, lifeguards, and emergency medical personnel – serve more than 1.4 million San Diegans and visitors and cover nearly 343 square miles. Rigorously trained to treat all types of injuries and meet any challenge, the men and women of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department are here to serve our community. Unfortunately, due to city budget constraints, our first responders are at an increased risk of losing valuable technical resources and funding for necessary training and education. Often, these enhanced resources and training are left unfunded. Without this funding, our first responders are left with the tough decision of going without or covering the shortfall with their own personal funds. The Fire-Rescue Foundation seeks to rectify these budget constraints by providing the means to introduce and/or improve tools, equipment, and technology that will enable our firefighters, lifeguards, and paramedics to perform their tasks more safely, effectively, and efficiently, benefiting our San Diego community. Your support keeps our world-class Fire Department at the top of its ability to serve.
