Mission Statement
To provide disaster assistance grants to Smurfit Westrock employees (and their immediate family members) who are victims of natural or man made disasters.
About This Cause
Smurfit Westrock has a long history of responding to disasters around the world through international relief organizations such as the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. The global impact of these assistance programs is undeniable; however, when disaster strikes close to home, Smurfit Westrock team members like to know their co-workers are taken care of and are willing to pitch in to help them get back on their feet. That’s why we established the Smurfit Westrock Employee Relief Fund. Since the Fund was established in 2005, more than $3.5 million has been provided to Smurfit Westrock team members impacted by a natural or man-made disaster, such as a home fire, tornado, hurricane, flood or tsunami. Thanks to the generous support from Smurfit Westrock employees and other donors, the Employee Relief Fund is available to help our team members when an unexpected disaster strikes.
