Mission Statement
Santa Monica Science Magnet is a 501(c) organization that was formed in 1992 to inspire 60 middle school science students! We now have ~380 students in the program. We are financially supported by fundraising through the Science Magnet direct drive and fundraisers.
About This Cause
The Santa Monica Science Magnet is where adventure, learning, and fun come together to give students a head start in areas like chemistry, physics, health, and the environment. More than just classwork -- the Science Magnet includes a week long Summer institute, seminars on many fascinating subjects each semester, and family participation trips to places like Morro Bay and Joshua Tree.
