Mission Statement

To educate, motivate and support not just the individual with breast cancer, but their entire family as well. Through education, we spread awareness. Through Motivation, we uplift their spirits. With Support, we will stand by them every step of the way.

About This Cause

Clark Family Breast Cancer Services was established in October, 2005 in memory of our sister, Brenda L. Clark, who died from breast cancer at the age of 53. In 2007, we received a grant from Susan G. Komen Central & South Jersey to provide evidence-based breast cancer education to the medically underserved populations in the counties of Camden, Burlington and Gloucester in New Jersey. Our Neighborhood Outreach and Support Program is a free, community-based breast cancer education program that utilizes cancer survivors and outreach workers to increase awareness, knowledge, screening, and early detection behaviors in the most medically under-served areas of the counties we serve in an effort to reduce the number of deaths and incidents of breast cancer. Our program travels throughout Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties to educate women using a culturally-competent, familial approach to deliver messages of hope and empowerment. In addition, the program provides financial assistance with co-pays, deductibles, breast cancer treatment, prescriptions, oncology appointments and breast cancer screening. Funds are also available for transportation to and from treatment, screening and follow-up appointments.
