About This Cause
The Hamilton Emerald Foundation provides "extras", in the form of grants, in support of the students of the Hamilton Central School District, a rural district in upstate New York. We make grants that serve to enhance their education along the lines of instruction, teacher professional development, technology, the arts, vocational studies, and health and wellness. Many grants go to support good ideas that come from teachers, administrators, and students within the Hamilton Central School District. We will, on occasion, provide grants to organizations outside the district that provide particular programs that will serve the students within the district. The Foundation also provides need-based scholarships for independent study, capped at 90% of the request or $500, whichever is less, to students of the Hamilton Central School. Need is determined by the School District.
