Mission Statement
Ananda Dharma Center is a non-profit organization, founded in 2005 by H.E. Choden Rinpoche and Khen Rinpoche Geshe Gyalten Kungka . We are a Tibetan Buddhist Center, practicing Vajrayana Buddhism under the Gelug tradition of his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Our goal is to provide educational programs, to all Buddhist seekers and practitioners, on how to live fulfilling and meaningful lives and lessen the suffering of oneself and others. We strive to achieve this through weekly Dharma Teachings, special teachings by visiting Rinpoches and Geshes from Nepal and India, occasional retreats, both locally and in Nepal, and special prayers and events. Our programs explore how the universal wisdom and compassion of the ancient Buddhist tradition can transform our own lives, as well as bring practical benefit to the world.
About This Cause
Teaching and practicing Vajrayana Buddhism helps everyone live a Joyful and Peaceful mind. It reduces the stress of life for the youth and young adults as well as the parents who have family issues. The Ananda Dharma Center conducts these activities at the center as well as in public places such as the community center hall and high school hall in the Silicon Valley area. The Ananda Dharma Center received the Recognition Award for helping Silicon Valley in general and the especially San Jose city community from County Supervisor Dave Cortese and San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan
