AOET INTERNATIONAL COORDINATINGOFFICE
Mission Statement
AOET seeks to empower Ugandan communities to be able to care and provide for the many children who live there and who have been orphaned or made vulnerable as a result of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
About This Cause
We believe that through education, each child is given a new perspective on how they see themselves and their community. Too often, these children are seen as burdens if they are orphaned, and they begin to think that their situation defines them. Through a holistic approach, AOET seeks to turn a life of hopelessness into a life of HOPE. Our social workers provide sponsored Ugandan children and families with psycho-social support, empowerment training, medical support, home-visits, and career guidance. Rather than focusing on only providing a child with an education, AOET strives to address all the needs of a child – physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual.
