Mission Statement
SEA’s mission is to lead, launch, and strengthen youth programs that enable and empower students to access and succeed in quality educational, athletic, and career opportunities. To achieve our mission, we focus on three primary areas — growth, program quality, and student and alumni opportunities.
About This Cause
SEA is a network of 25 member organizations in the U.S. and abroad that provide year-round, long-term support to young people from under-resourced communities. Our member organizations follow an intensive, year-round youth development model that combines the sport of squash with academic tutoring, mentoring, travel, college prep and support, and career readiness. We work year-round with more than 2,500 students from under-resourced communities, beginning in elementary or middle school and extending all the way through college graduation. Students attend squash practices and tutoring sessions three or four days a week during the school year, and for much of the summer, regularly volunteer in their communities, and travel to colleges and cities around the country.
