At the UNDERGROUND, our mission is to: INSPIRE people to surrender all their lives to Jesus and His cause CONNECT individuals into missional communities EMPOWER communities to discover and obey their God given mission ENGAGE every kind of evil in our city with prayerful action
About This Cause
The Underground is simultaneously three things: a grassroots coalition of microchurches in Tampa; a nonprofit incubator of service to empower and serve these microchurches; and a coaching & content platform to serve leaders planting similar movements around the world. Our network is currently home to over 100 microchurches in the Tampa Bay region and 22 sister movements around the world. We believe firmly that people make up the church, not buildings or budgets, or even leaders. When believers work together in sincere worship and genuine community to accomplish a part of the mission of God, they are the church.
