About This Cause
Friends of Indus Hospital, Inc (FOIH) is a US based 501(c)(3) registered charity, established to support the efforts of Indus Hospital & Health Network in providing quality healthcare services to under-served patients in Pakistan. The activities of FOIH include creating awareness about the efforts of Indus Hospital, arranging fundraising events, mobilizing individual and corporate volunteers to support Indus Hospital & Health Network with the supply of equipment, assistive devices, infrastructure material, knowledge and skill transfer. FOIH is an initiative taken by Americans of Pakistani origin and supported by a wider community, businesses and organizations across USA. All donations given to FOIH are eligible for tax deduction under US law. Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) provides quality healthcare absolutely FREE OF COST to millions of deserving patients through its countrywide network of hospitals in Pakistan. Indus Hospital & Health Network’s purpose is to provide indiscriminate, quality healthcare to all through it's in state-of-art facilities across Pakistan. IHHN is a not-for-profit healthcare system that solely relies on public donations. To achieve its purpose, IHHN is continuously partnering with individuals, corporates, international donor agencies, educational institutions, international partners, and the provincial & federal government. Starting with only one hospital in Karachi in 2007, IHHN is now managing multiple tertiary and secondary care Hospitals. Currently operating 13 Hospitals, 4 Regional Blood Centers, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Community Health Centers, and various Public Health Programs spread all across Pakistan. IHHN now has 1,595 beds across Network, primary care centers in 52 districts across Pakistan treating approximately 450,000 Patients every month. More than 10,000 children have been treated for Cancer and other Blood related diseases. More than 9,000 patients have benefitted from the orthopedic / prosthetic services provided by IHHN. Regional Blood Centers providing 150,000 Blood components to patients for various life saving treatments. More than 98,037 Individuals screened for Hepatitis, Its Physical Therapy services under the Physical Rehabilitation Program has benefited 13,764 outpatients and 5,741 inpatients with more than 19,000 sessions.
