Mission Statement

Snowdays Foundation is a Portland, Oregon based volunteer organization dedicated to youth empowerment through snowboarding. We provide free outdoor programming for non-profit youth organizations across the Portland Metro Area.

About This Cause

By working through challenges on the mountain, students gain self-confidence, strengthen friendships, and have an opportunity to become more aware of their natural surroundings. Our students come from middle and high schools in challenging neighborhoods, with the lowest academic achievement, the highest poverty rates, and the highest percentage of single-parent households. Snowdays is a 501(c)(3) organization that is 100% volunteer run by those involved in the snowboard industry or passionate about the benefits of snowboarding. Founded in 2004 by professional snowboarder Travis Parker and his cousin, teacher Patrick Edwards, with one trip. Entering 2018, our fourteenth season, we have grown to offer eleven trips and will have provided snowboarding and outdoor experiences to over 1900 at-risk adolescents.
