About This Cause
Collateral Repair Project's programming is two-fold, we run an emergency assistance program that provides food vouchers, fuel, mattresses, and other materials to refugees who receive no other food and in-kind aid. The second branch of our programming is our community center, where our beneficiaries can find a new community, rebuild social ties, and participate in activities such as English classes, support groups, leadership training, craft circles, and more. CRP’s great strengths are the wealth of knowledge we have about the refugee community in Amman and the strong relationships we have developed with each individual we serve. Our community center is where many refugees spend their days, as they are forbidden by Jordanian law to work. Our daily contact with them allows us to be deeply aware of their needs and to quickly respond. Because of this, we have cultivated devoted grassroots support from those who value our ability to act fast as well as our expertise in fostering personal connections among those in our community.
