Mission Statement
Connor's Heroes® Foundation is dedicated to helping the families in Central Virginia cope with childhood cancer and our community’s researchers conquer it. Our mission is to build a community of heroes who provide hope, guidance, and support. Our vision is to make fighting childhood cancer a journey a family never faces alone.
About This Cause
Founded in 2006 as a salute to Connor, who triumphed after 2-1/2 years of cancer treatment as a preschooler, Connor’s Heroes is named after Connor and in honor of the heroes who supported his family throughout his treatment. Today, Connor’s Heroes is a Richmond, Virginia-based nonprofit dedicated to helping the families in Central Virginia cope with childhood cancer and our community’s researchers conquer it. Connor’s Heroes starts with a Heroes Bag and Backpack. A child will find an iPad, crafts, toys, and games. A parent will receive the first (of many) gift cards. While their child is in treatment the family will get gift cards for gas and groceries, a house cleaning, meal delivery, or a special treat for a birthday or holiday.
