Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center's commitment to compassion and service is reflected in over 75 years of caring for our neighbors. Our expert staff, paired with the most advanced equipment and technology in the region, ensures every patient receives the high-quality, personalized care they deserve. Since we opened our doors in 1937, West Georgia Medical Center has expanded from basic hospital services in a single county to serving a lifetime of health care needs for residents in a seven-county area. Multi-million-dollar expansions of the main hospital in 1958, 1974, and 2010 have responded to waves of population growth, and the increasing complexity of medical care has been reflected in the development of our organization, which now includes: • West Georgia Medical Center, a rural referral center licensed for 276 acute-care beds, • 150-bed Florence Hand Home skilled nursing facility, • 112-bed Twin Fountains Home skilled nursing facility, • 16-bed West Georgia Hospice and Hospice LaGrange offering in-home care, and • Outpatient Services – Outpatient Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology, Home Care, Outpatient Therapy, Wound Care, Women’s Health, and West Georgia Physicians. Advanced technologies and specialized services have played a key role in ensuring that the majority of care needed by local residents and businesses can be delivered right here at home.
