Our mission is to spread the power of optimism to help kids heal. Our vision is a world where kids who’ve endured the most devastating circumstances have the relationships and experiences they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
About This Cause
The Life is Good Playmaker Project teaches early childhood professionals to help kids heal from trauma. We provide play-based, trauma-informed training and support so early childhood professionals, who we call Playmakers, can use our practices to build life-changing relationships with children. For over 30 years, we’ve been helping early childhood professionals build healing, life-changing relationships with kids. Our play-based approach empowers professionals with the tools and resources needed to set, or reset, the foundations for a healthy childhood. The Problem Kids are in crisis. Depression, anxiety, and trauma have been rising at alarming rates among youth. Educators are reporting stalled emotional growth, lack of age-appropriate coping skills, and, among very young children, increases in developmental delays and challenging behaviors. Our Solution Positive relationships with skilled, caring adults are proven to be healing for children. Playmakers are early childhood professionals trained to build healing, life-changing relationships during kids’ most critical stages of development.
