The Independence Public Library Foundation supports the community through the facilities and services of the Independence Public Library.
About This Cause
The Independence Public Library Foundation was organized to maintain, develop, increase and extend the facilities and services of the Independence Public Library (IPL) and to provide broader educational service opportunities to the residents of the geographic area that it serves. The Foundation enhances the public library and further promotes its vision, which is "To be an essential component, providing relevant services and engaging people community-wide." The public library strives to provide resources and opportunities for the engagement and empowerment of individuals in our community through a variety of formats, participation styles, and by meeting people where they are emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
