Mission Statement
Our goal is to accommodate 500 students annually from these three communities. With public support , our non-profit organization has been successful in providing school supplies, sponsoring nutritious hot meals, financial assistance to increase school attendance and reduce the attrition rates, after school activities, and focused involvement in all three communities in order to further scholastic excellence.
About This Cause
Founded and Incorporated October 6, 2006, Greenlight Guyana Educational Project, Incorporated is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization based in New York City. Our officers volunteer, cater to, and support the educational, health and human service needs of children, ages 5-12, who live in the rural and impoverished communities of Bagotville, Nismes and LaRetraite of Guyana, South America
