About This Cause
Africa Surgery was founded in 2003. It is a non-profit organization providing health care and surgical services to needy people in Sierra Leone. Programs encompass several aspects of the everyday life of many Sierra Leoneans. From providing surgery support and financing for the needy to employment assistance, from helping children with education to providing them with after-surgery tutoring, orthotic and mobility devices. Africa Surgery’s most significant programs are: •Orthopedic Surgery •General Surgery •Oral Surgery and Facial Tumors •Reconstructive Plastic Surgery •Eye Care •Sponsor a School Child We are a unique organization in that we use 99% of the funds donated for the medical and surgical care of Sierra Leonean children and adult patients. No part of these funds go for administrative costs.
