Environment for the Americas connects diverse people to birds and nature and inspires the next generation of conservationists by connecting diverse people to nature and to the protection of birds and their habitats.
About This Cause
In 2022, Environment for the Americas welcomed more than 150 students and early-career professionals through our many conservation internship programs. A record year! We also worked directly with hundreds of educators from Canada to Argentina and the Caribbean to promote migratory bird conservation through World Migratory Bird Day events across the Western Hemisphere. And, together with key partners, we made significant progress in facilitating the development of a conservation plan to help Rufous Hummingbird and other western migratory hummingbird species and in restoring important coastal habitats for shorebirds in the Pacific Northwest.
