Mission Statement
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire children of all ages to reach their full potential. Through our unique music and theater productions, we help children build confidence, character, and creativity while instilling the value of community outreach and philanthropy. The Peter Pan Foundation brings a spirit of philanthropy to everything we do.
About This Cause
The heart of the PPF is about giving back to those in need, our community, and the world while also enriching the lives of our participants through music and theater. Participants in our various productions learn confidence, creativity, empathy, and how to help others. All the while, becoming part of a loving and supportive environment; one that helps foster positive self-image and lifelong friendships. We especially focus on bringing magic and support to patients at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, Make-A-Wish kids, and kids with special needs. We have raised over $200,000 for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland And helped grant over 100 wishes, visited and performed for thousands of patients and audience members, and had thousands of participants! We are dedicated to forever finding ways to always be and to help inspire the world to be the most giving, loving, inclusive, anti-racist, inspiring safe space we can be. We: Visit hospitals, kids with special needs, schools, other philanthropic organizations, individuals who just need a pick me up... Produce sensory-friendly, ASL interpreted, and specialty audience geared shows, to provide theatre to ALL audiences. Open our casting to ALL performers, regardless of race, ethnicity, appearance, age, gender, and skill level; providing the opportunity for EVERYONE to make a difference. Raise money through musical fundraisers to donate to causes who are in need of financial support. Partner with other amazing causes (currently, in 2018, the Make-A-Wish Foundation) to offer endless support to their needs. Provide groups and assemblies to help teens with self esteem and the struggles of daily pressures, and to remind them of just how amazing they are. This includes our PPF BAMM Squad, an extraordinary think tank of teenagers who meet weekly to help run The PPF-because they can! Encourage all we encounter to spread light to each other and to our world. The PPF was created to help everyone find that power and strength within themselves, to teach them to use it for good and to inspire them to make a difference.
