Mission Statement
We aim to promote peace, harmony and universal love amid cultural diversity through inner transformation. Our motto is: “Humanity and Divinity are inseparable”..
About This Cause
Global Organization for Divinity is a worldwide organization with a strong US presence that works towards its mission through several different approaches. 1. We conduct several Indian cultural and spiritual celebrations that are open to people of all cultural backgrounds, beliefs and ethnicities. (Promoting harmony amid cultural diversity) 2. Under our “Joy of Sharing” initiative, we serve the community by partnering with other organizations and actively work for social causes especially in the areas of education and medicine/health. We conduct an annual free community health fair (Life & Soul), food & clothes & baby supplies drives benefiting local organizations, educational supply drives benefiting local schools, medical supplies donations to local organizations and City clean-up drives. 3. We promote classical art and Indian culture – particularly Indian music, dance, drama, artwork, puppetry, yoga, culinary arts - through classes, camps, our own performances and also by supporting and encouraging local artistes to perform during our events. (Celebrating diversity and promoting appreciation and harmony among different cultures) -- Cultural fests featuring music, dance and drama performances by local, national and international artists as well as children -- The Dancing Peacock Puppet Company is our initiative to revive the art of Indian folk puppetry through the retelling of ancient stories and also to instill moral values in children. -- The Kolam Company is our initiative to spread the ancient form of painting that is drawn using rice powder/color powders (Rangoli) during festive celebrations. This art is practiced in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and some other Asian countries. 4. We work a lot with children and youngsters – encouraging them to explore Indian culture, art and universal spirituality through our “Gopa Kuteeram” programs, workshops, camps and classes conducted by our artists and volunteer teachers. We welcome children of different cultural backgrounds to attend these programs and learn about Indian culture. (Celebrating diversity and promoting harmony among different cultures) 5. We also conduct secular/culture-neutral Youth Leadership workshops to equip aspiring young leaders with the necessary leadership and communication skills. (Bringing fresh perspectives to help the younger generation flower in their growth) 6. We conduct secular/culture-neutral “Happiness” workshops for professional organizations to help employees transform their life and find happiness in what they do. (Inner transformation and helping people find inner peace and harmony, irrespective of their cultural beliefs)
