Mission Statement
The UNFI Assist Relief Fund was established to help UNFI associates experiencing a temporary financial hardship meet their financial obligations.
About This Cause
Examples of Eligible Funding Requests: ■ Natural disaster relief (devastating flood, storm or fire) ■ Short or long-term personal emergency that results in loss of basic needs (food, clothing, shelter) ■ Expenses associated with a major medical emergency or the untimely death of an immediate family member Examples of Ineligible Funding Requests: ■ Elective medical or cosmetic procedures ■ Debts incurred from illegal activities ■ Expenses for damages incurred during travel ■ Expenses fully covered by insurance or other sources of income ■ Financial difficulty due to poor financial planning, negligence or recklessness
