Mission Statement
Pets are a vital part of our family, yet every year, more than 1,000,000 pets go without veterinary care because their owners can't afford to pay for medical treatment... tragically, animals are often euthanized or suffer needlessly. Formed in 2008, Animal Care and Assistance Fund (ACAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists pets in the greater Pittsburgh region who need emergency or specialty care at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (PVSEC).
About This Cause
Our objective is to offer pet owners in financial crisis an alternative to euthanasia when their pet faces a treatable, yet life-threatening condition. ACAF is dedicated to helping those in need. Your support is extremely important to us because it provides resources that make an immediate impact. It helps give hope to pet owners who are faced with heart-breaking decisions.
