About This Cause
Charitable Ventures, launched in 2007, builds capacity in the social sector by providing fiscal sponsorship to emerging nonprofits (over 88 since our beginning), offering social impact consultant services to existing nonprofits, and supports regional collaborations throughout Southern California. We served as the Orange County administrative CBO for the 2020 Census, working with hundreds of organizations to ensure a full count, and stepped in to provide relief support in response to the pandemic, as Charitable Ventures joined with other nonprofit leaders in Orange County, to launch a COVID relief fund (OCCRF), providing much-needed funding to Community Based Organizations. This fund raised more than $4.7 million and provided rapid relief funding to nearly 200 organizations. The success of this program led Charitable Ventures to agree to administer more than a dozen other private and public relief funds.
