Mission Statement

Making Waves commits to rigorously and holistically preparing students to gain acceptance to and graduate from college and to ultimately become valuable contributors to the workforce and their communities. Since 1989, Making Waves has provided life-changing educational opportunities to under-served youth. By focusing on rigorous academic preparation, holistic support services and most uniquely, a commitment to follow our students through attaining a college degree, our program has produced unprecedented high school and college graduation rates.

About This Cause

Making Waves Academy is a California public charter school founded in 2007. It currently serves more than 1100 students in grades 5-12 from underserved communities.
