Mission Statement
The mission of The Food Bank Network is to distribute food and to provide other basic human needs to those less fortunate in our community in a manner recognizing and advancing self-worth and human dignity.
About This Cause
Working through food pantries located in Somerville, Manville, Bound Brook, VA Lyons, North Plainfield, Raritan, mobile distributions in Branchburg and Warren, and a warehouse in Bridgewater, our goal is to help create the opportunity for each person to become self-sufficient. The Food Bank Network works with Somerset County residents on a walk-in basis as well as those who are referred by a variety of social service organizations. To do this, The Food Bank Network counts on the support of staff members, a volunteer board of directors, and countless volunteers across the county who give their time to the Network to help us continue to work towards our goals. All of this is made possible through the generous support of our individual and organizational donors via their monetary and in-kind donations.
