Mission Statement
The mission of NAMI Delaware is to support, educate and advocate until there is a cure for persistent mental illness.
About This Cause
NAMI Delaware is a statewide organization of families, mental health consumers, friends, and professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by life-changing brain diseases such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. 1 and 4 people are affected by mental illness. NAMI Delaware offers programs and services for individuals living with mental illness as well as family members and loved ones at no cost to the participant. Volunteer opportunities include housing projects (such as painting and gardening) which can be on an individual or team basis, program facilitators (training provided), HelpLine volunteer (training provided), and much more. NAMI Delaware staff is available for speaking engagements to inform the community about mental health as well as health/wellness fairs to exhibit our programs & services.
