Make-A-Wish Central New York grants wishes to children under the age of 18 living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
About This Cause
Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Wishes are granted to eligible children regardless of race, religion, or economic status. The Central New York chapter is one of 61 chapters throughout the United States. Since incorporating in 1985, over 2,000 wishes have been granted to Central New York children. The Central New York region includes the following counties: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga, and Tompkins. Each chapter is an independent 501(c)(3) organization. Incorporated in 1980, Make-A-Wish America (the National office), is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
