Mission Statement
The Coatesville Area Public Library provides information, materials, programming, and technology to the residents of the Coatesville area that promote literacy, build community and enrich lives.
About This Cause
The Coatesville Area Public Library is a member of the Chester County Library System in Coatesville, PA. It serves Coatesville City and Caln, East Fallowfield, Modena, South Coatesville, Valley, West Caln, and West Bradford townships. We receive funding from the State of Pennsylvania, Chester County, and our service area; however, nearly half of our funding relies on the generous donations of the community. Our library has been a center of the Coatesville community since 1877. We offer literacy efforts, free computer and internet access, and interactive programming for Children, Teens, Adults, and Seniors. We partner with community organizations like the OIC, CYWA, Chester County Foodbank, and the CCIU to provide a variety of community support programs.
