Mission Statement
Child Guidance Resource Centers' mission is to inspire hope, to empower and to contribute to the well-being of children, families, and adults throughout the five county Philadelhia region by delivering evidence-informed behavioral health searches and community-wide wellness programs.
About This Cause
Child Guidance Resource Centers provides 28 different different programs across five counties surrounding and including Philadelphia. For 65 years Child Guidance has met evolving behavioral health needs of children and families. Counseling, group, medication and case management services are complemented by wide ranging, evidence-informed therapies. Our diverse range of therapeutic services includes autism services such as CREATE (our own communication, socialization, and friend-making group service for 3-21 year olds), intensive in-home family and individual therapy for all mental health needs, residential programs for adults with mental illness, drug and alcohol prevention services offered free to all, in-school therapists and supports, an independent elementary school, truancy prevention, treatment within the juvenile justice system, all the way to SHAIP, a permanent residence solution for seniors with serious, chronic mental illness and other challenges of aging. Child Guidance maintains an overhead of only 10-11%, so 90% of all donations go directly to services for children.
