Mission Statement
The Aark is dedicated to the care and release of orphaned and injured native Pennsylvania Wildlife as well as the education of the public about the human impact on the environment.
About This Cause
The Aark treats over 5,000 native Pennsylvania wild animals annually. To that end we give medical care to the sick or injured and provide sanctuary to the many orphans. We work closely with local veterinarians to provide medical treatment when warranted and we strive to reintegrate all of our patients back into the wild as soon as they are ready. There are over 100 dedicated volunteers on our staff who work tirelessly to provide this exceptional care. We also provide community education programs both on and off-site that emphasize the importance of environmental stewardship as well as tips for living in harmony with the wild world around us.
