Mission Statement

The Wyalusing Valley Museum saves and shares the artifacts, manuscripts, and stories of the people and places of the Wyalusing Valley region.

About This Cause

The Wyalusing Valley Museum is a local history museum preserving and interpreting the history of the ten townships that make up the Wyalusing Area School District. Located along the Susquehanna River in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Wyalusing Creek valley contains stories of hunters, gatherers, farmers, businessmen, small towns and lonely mountains. These local stories connect to the broader events of regional, national, and even international history. Natural resources of fish, lumber, farmland, water power, natural gas, and beautiful landscapes have shaped the human culture of this region from ancient times to the present. We share these stories through our exhibits and programs.
