About This Cause
Safe Harbor Easton has been providing shelter and basic human services to homeless and low-income individuals in Easton and the surrounding communities for over 30 years. Our mission is to foster lifelong success and stability in homeless men and women by addressing the root causes of our homelessness. We currently house 40 beds for single, adult men and women in need of shelter. Our shelter is program-based, and includes a built-in life skill curriculum, foundation programming, and system of accountability with support. We are modeled after a therapeutic community. Shelter residents receive all their meals, clothing, hygiene items, free medical care, help with benefits, referrals to treatment and supportive services, in-house case management, and enrollment in our three-phase, in-house behavioral modification program, ARISE (Accountability, Recovery, Initiative, Self-Sufficiency, and Education). Our day program participants are served breakfast and lunch, and can access free clothing, household items, medical care, referrals, case management, showers, phone and computers, bus passes for appointments, and takeaway food.
