Mission Statement
Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue provides new beginnings for displaced Golden Retrievers and Golden Doodles.
About This Cause
Since 1993, Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue has successfully placed over 4,000 dogs into new homes throughout eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and other surrounding areas. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, relying on donations, supporters, fundraising, and the proceeds of our events and retail store, Pap’s Place, for funding. Dogs enter our program from the surrounding areas and as far away as Puerto Rico. Many come to DVGRR from puppy mills, scared of humans and under socialized. These dogs enter our nationally recognized Project Home Life (PHL) program in which they are acclimated to life in a typical household. All DVGRR dogs receive the highest level of veterinary care possible as well as plenty of human interaction and training. DVGRR also works with other rescue organizations across the country, helping them create programs like PHL and developing processes and policies for successful operations and adoptions.
