Mission Statement

The Gettysburg Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit philanthropic, educational organization that operates in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve Gettysburg National Military Park and the Eisenhower National Historic Site, and to educate the public about their significance.

About This Cause

The Gettysburg Foundation has a joint preservation and education mission. As the non-profit partner of Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site, we work to preserve the resources associated with the Battle of Gettysburg, President Lincoln's visit to Gettysburg, and President Eisenhower's home. We own and operate the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, home of a 12-gallery museum, a Cylocrama painting that is one of the largest artifacts in North America, and a collection of 1.25M Civil War artifacts. In addition to supporting the National Park Service's education efforts, we own and operate three properties that tell the Gettysburg story in new and innovative ways to reach broader audiences.
