About This Cause

WE ARE PART OF THE SOLUTION TO BETTER POLICING. WHERE THE CITY’S BUDGET ENDS; OUR WORK BEGINS. The Philadelphia Police Foundation is a solid example of a public/private partnership. The Police Foundation is an independent, nonprofit whose board is entirely composed of volunteers. Every dollar we raise is a dollar the city does not need to spend. Our fundraising comes entirely from Corporations, Foundations and Individuals -- not from city, state or federal government. Initiatives to date include scholarships for the children of fallen and critically injured officers, vital life-saving new equipment for the SWAT Team and Highway Patrol, anti-bias training for police leaders citywide and for police cadets, KN95 protective face masks and critical technology software that will save lives and help solve crimes. 4 Funding Pillars: 1. Reducing the Gun Violence epidemic by funding unbudgeted crime reduction initiatives. 2. Supporting Officer Wellness programs and Police Accountability initiatives. 3. Providing Strategic and Advanced Training Opportunities at all levels of the PPD. 4. Providing engagement opportunities between the Philadelphia Police and the youth of the city.
